MANGALORE: A house in Ganeshpura Kaikamba coming under Surathkal police limits caught fire by a rat which was carrying a lighted wick placed by the household before the God.
The house belonged to Sanjeeva, a security guard. Clothes and furnitures in the house were burnt in the fire. Deputy Mayor Rajani Dugganna, Corporator Basheer Ahmed, Katipalla BJP President Laxmana Acharya and other visited the house. The deputy mayor has also assured of suitable compensation.
