MANGALORE: An incident in which a youth who was teasing a college going Muslim girl since the past few days, was caught and thrashed by the public, was reported from Suratkal police station limits. The youth was later arrested by the Suratkal police.
Reports said one Chakresh (25), a resident of Manjeshwar was teasing the girl Kairzana, a resident of Idya and student of Govinda Dasa College, while she was on way to college. The girl who initially tolerated this, later on had complained to her brother. On Tuesday, Kairzana was accompanied by her brother on way to college. When Chakresh as is his old habit, began to tease Kairzana, her brother objected to his behavior. This eventually led to an altercation with public gathering around and thrashing Chakresh.
Suratkal police who arrived at the spot took the youth to custody.
