Strong opposition to SEZ pipeline corridor

MANGALORE: The KIADB officials who are moving heaven and earth towards the implementation of the Special Economic Zone Project despite stiff opposition for the same, have now once again issued notices to areas which were earlier not included in the notification. However, the villagers are now furious over the KIADB officials for trying to undertake a survey though they had filed a written objection to the issuing of notices towards land acquisition for the construction of a pipeline corridor for the SEZ. The acquisition notices have been served in 62 Tokur village in Jokatte gram panchayat limits.
