The State High Court which has put a brake to a violation of an existing rule by the Nitte and Yenepoya Deemed Universities in Mangalore, has in a significant ruling directed the two universities to admit 25 per cent of students under government quota.

A pedestrian lost his life in front of MCC office after being knocked down by a car which went out of gear. The deceased person has been identified as Deepesh (20) of Kasaragod. The car which belonged to an advocate hit a bus after knocking down the pedestrian and caught fire.
