A fishing boat caught fire mid sea near Hejamady on Friday due to some technical snag. However all the 21 fishermen in the boat escaped unhurt after they were rescued by local fishermen. The boat has been gutted in the mishap and the loss has been estimated at Rs 35 lakhs.
